Angelic Beings

Angelic Beings are a vast and diverse family of celestial personalities created to serve, guide, protect, and uplift mortals and planetary civilizations throughout the universe. They function as ministers of mercy, teachers of truth, coordinators of divine administration, and companions who lovingly assist mortals in their long ascent toward spiritual maturity and eternal destiny.

Angels are expressions of divine compassion in action.

Spiritual Context

In The Urantia Book, angels comprise many orders, each with distinct origin, purpose, and function. They are created by higher universe authorities—such as the Creator Son, the Universe Mother Spirit, and various levels of Deity administration.
They do not evolve as mortals do; they are created for service, not for ascension, though some may advance in status through faithful work.

Angels are:

  • Personal beings

  • Loving and loyal

  • Wise and experienced

  • Always respectful of human free will

  • Invisible to material sight

  • Essential to planetary and universe administration

They operate within precise divine order but perform their work with deep affection for humanity.

Common Orders of Angelic Beings (Urantia-aligned)

1. Seraphim

The primary order of angels associated with human evolution. They serve as guardians, teachers, guides, and ministers of spiritual progress.

2. Guardian Seraphim

Angels assigned to individual mortals—sometimes to a group, often to a single person—who assist in spiritual decision-making, moral insight, protection, and Adjuster cooperation.

3. Supernaphim, Seconaphim, and Tertiaphim

Higher orders serving in Paradise and the superuniverses; not typically active on evolutionary worlds.

4. Archangels

A high order associated with ascending mortals and resurrection processes. The Archangel circuit on Urantia is one of the planet’s notable blessings.

5. Cherubim and Sanobim

Assistants to seraphim; support planetary tasks and human advancement.

6. Midwayer Collaborators

While not angels, they often work alongside seraphim in planetary work.

All angelic beings function in harmony, with shared purpose: the uplift of creation.

Roles and Functions of Angelic Beings

  • Progress Coordination: Supporting human evolution—personally, socially, and spiritually.

Angels never coerce—they encourage, guide, and inspire.

Angelic Beings in the Correcting Time

Celestial teachers repeatedly affirm that angelic activity on Urantia has intensified in the Correcting Time. This increase is purposeful and organized, supporting:

  • Healing of planetary wounds

  • Strengthening of families and communities

  • Stabilization of emotional and moral environments

  • Awakening of spiritual consciousness
