Seven Adjutant Mind Spirits

The Seven Adjutant Mind Spirits are the fundamental circuits of mortal mind ministry in the local universes. They are the sevenfold neural-spiritual energies that constitute the basic mind endowment of evolutionary creatures—from the earliest forms of animal life up through human beings. These adjutants originate from the Divine Minister (Nebadonia), the Mother Spirit of Nebadon, and they represent Her personal presence in the mind arena of all evolving creatures.

These seven adjutants are not personalities but spirit circuits—functional influences that stimulate, guide, and uplift the mind as it grows from instinctual, animal-level consciousness to moral, spiritual, and eventually Adjuster-attuned human consciousness. Each adjutant nurtures a specific capacity of mind, and their combined ministry creates the environment in which personality can make moral choices and the soul can begin to form.

The Seven Adjutant Mind Spirits are:

  1. The Spirit of Intuition — Basic instinct, quick perception of environmental reality.

  2. The Spirit of Understanding — Higher reasoning, pattern recognition, grasp of relationships.

  3. The Spirit of Courage — The impulse toward bravery, persistence, and survival valor.

  4. The Spirit of Knowledge — Accumulation of experience, learning, memory integration.

  5. The Spirit of Counsel — Social instinct, cooperation, the capacity for teamwork.

  6. The Spirit of Worship — The beginning of spiritual receptivity and reverence for higher reality.

  7. The Spirit of Wisdom — The highest adjutant; integrates experience into enlightened judgment.

The first five adjutants (intuition through counsel) minister to both animals and humans, forming the evolutionary foundation for intelligence and socialization. The last two (worship and wisdom) are exclusively human, marking the point where mind becomes capable of spiritual response and ready for Thought Adjuster indwelling.

In celestial teachings, the adjutants are described as the “scaffold of mind” upon which the morontia soul begins to form. Their action prepares the mind for moral insight, conscience, and spiritual decisions—key requirements for soul survival and growth. During the Correcting Time, understanding the adjutants helps illuminate how human consciousness develops and why spiritual growth requires balanced emotional, intellectual, and social capacities.

Ultimately, the Seven Adjutant Mind Spirits are Nebadonia’s loving gift to evolutionary beings, making it possible for mortal minds to grow, discover truth, and form the soul that will continue on the eternal ascendant journey.
