Nebadonia, in the Urantia cosmology, is the Divine Mother Spirit of the Local Universe of Nebadon. Her role, nature, and ministry are central to understanding the spiritual environment in which all beings of Nebadon—including humans on Urantia—live and grow. She is the divine co-creator and co-ruler of the Local Universe alongside Christ Michael. Just as Christ Michael represents the Father-Son lineage, Nebadonia represents the Infinite Spirit’s presence within Nebadon. Together, they bring their universe into existence and guide its development.
Nebadonia is the spiritual complement and eternal partner of Christ Michael.
Where Michael embodies the creative sonship of the Father and the Eternal Son, Nebadonia expresses the nurturing, sustaining, and ministering qualities of the Infinite Spirit. Their partnership brings balance—masculine and feminine, creative and nurturing—throughout the entire universe.
Nebadonia is the source of the Holy Spirit in Nebadon.
Her presence permeates every world, including Urantia. The Holy Spirit is her personal ministry, guiding human minds, encouraging spiritual growth, and fostering moral insight. This presence operates as a gentle, loving influence within every sincere seeker.
Nebadonia is the Mother of the angels and many celestial orders.
Seraphim, cherubim, sanobim, and many other ministering spirits originate from her. As the universe mother, she is deeply involved in the training, uplifting, and mission work of these beings. Her motherhood is real, active, and personal.
Nebadonia nurtures the human soul through spiritual influence.
She works in cooperation with the Thought Adjuster and other celestial ministries. While the Adjuster represents the direct presence of the Universal Father, Nebadonia provides the spiritual environment, moral encouragement, and emotional uplift that support soul growth.
Nebadonia’s presence is compassionate, inclusive, and tender.
Her ministry is often described as deeply loving and motherly. She comforts the struggling, strengthens the weak, encourages the searching, and supports the development of spiritual insight. Her influence fosters unity, peace, empathy, and cooperation among beings.
