Definition:
The morontia soul is the emerging, higher self that forms when the human personality chooses truth, goodness, beauty, and the divine will in partnership with the Thought Adjuster. It is an evolving, immortal identity, born from the fusion of mortal experience and divine guidance.
In The Urantia Book and celestial teachings of the Correcting Time, the morontia soul is described as the bridge between the material human self and the spiritual being you are becoming.

It contains all that is true, good, beautiful, loving, and value-aligned within a person—everything capable of surviving death and continuing into eternity.

Core Dimensions of the Morontia Soul

1. The Child of the Human Mind and the Thought Adjuster

The morontia soul emerges from:

  • Human moral choice, free will, experience, and personality
    combined with

  • Adjuster truth, divine values, spiritual insight, and eternal potential

Whenever you choose love, compassion, integrity, justice, or spiritual truth, the Adjuster copies that experience into soul substance.

2. The Survival Identity

The morontia soul is what survives death.
At physical death:

It is made of morontia substance, which is:
