Belief
Definition:
Belief is the mental acceptance of an idea, principle, or truth, often without full proof or experiential validation. It represents the initial stage of spiritual understanding—an attitude of mind that opens the door to faith, trust, and personal experience with divine realities.
Spiritual Context:
In the teachings of the Correcting Time and The Urantia Book, belief is considered an important beginning but never the final goal. Celestial teachers frequently emphasize that belief must evolve into living faith, which is the experiential realization of truth through personal relationship with the Father and the active alignment of one’s life with spiritual guidance.
While belief is cognitive, faith is experiential.
