Cosmic Community
Definition:
The Cosmic Community refers to the vast family of intelligent beings—mortal, morontial, and spiritual—who inhabit the universes of time and space under the loving sovereignty of the Creator. It is the collective society of all who share a common divine origin, a shared spiritual destiny, and interconnected participation in the unfolding cosmic plan.
The cosmic community is not an abstract concept; it is the living reality into which every mortal is born as a potential eternal being.
Spiritual Context:
In The Urantia Book, the universe is portrayed as highly organized, purposeful, and relational—filled with diverse orders of beings such as Melchizedeks, Seraphim, Midwayers, Morontia Companions, and ascending mortals from millions of worlds. The Teaching Mission and the Correcting Time highlight that humans on Urantia are not isolated, but part of this expansive and interconnected universe society.
The cosmic community is thus both celestial and mortal, both local and universal, and eternally growing as each soul advances.
