Unconditional Regard

Unconditional Regard
Seven Core ValuesLoveCompassionCorrecting Time • Morontia Character • Sacred Worth of All Persons

Definition:
Unconditional Regard is the steadfast recognition of another person’s inherent worth, dignity, and divine potential—independent of their behavior, beliefs, achievements, flaws, or stage of spiritual development.
In the teachings of the Correcting Time, Daniel Raphael, and Machiventa Melchizedek, unconditional regard is understood as a morontia-level relational virtue, expressing the Father’s view of His children: valued, beloved, and worthy—always.

Unconditional regard does not mean unconditional approval.
It means seeing the sacredness of a person beneath their imperfections, and responding with compassion, empathy, and respect.

Unconditional regard is the heart’s agreement with the universe truth:
“Every soul is precious.”

Core Dimensions of Unconditional Regard

1. Recognition of Inherent Divine Worth

Unconditional regard begins with acknowledging that:

  • Everyone is a child of the Universal Father

  • Each person is indwelt by a Thought Adjuster

  • All possess eternal potential

  • No one’s worth is diminished by error or limitation

This is deeply aligned with the Core Value of Equality.

2. Separation of Person From Behavior

Unconditional regard clearly distinguishes:

  • The soul from its mistakes

  • The person’s value from their actions

  • Eternal identity from temporary dysfunction

This allows compassion even when correction is needed.

3. Compassionate Presence

Unconditional regard expresses itself through:

It communicates, “You matter, even when you struggle.”

4. Respect for Free Will and Growth Pace

Unconditional regard honors:

  • Personal autonomy

  • Individual spiritual timing

  • The sacredness of human choice

It is the relational expression of divine respect for free will.
