Definition:
Equity in Opportunities is the values-based principle that every person must have fair and appropriate access to the resources, conditions, and support necessary to grow, succeed, and fulfill their potential.
In the teachings of the Correcting Time, Daniel Raphael, and Machiventa Melchizedek, equity is distinguished from equality:

  • Equality means everyone has the same intrinsic worth.

  • Equity means everyone receives the support they need based on their circumstances, capacities, and challenges.

Equity in opportunities ensures that no individual is held back by systemic barriers, discrimination, or lack of access—and that all are empowered to participate fully in society.

It is Growth, Equality, Quality of Life, Compassion, and Love in structural action.

Core Dimensions of Equity in Opportunities

1. Fair Access to Resources

Equity requires ensuring that all individuals can obtain:

  • Education

  • Healthcare

  • Moral and spiritual development

  • Safety and protection

  • Economic opportunity

  • Social and emotional support

Barriers—cultural, economic, institutional—must be reduced or removed.

2. Personalized Support According to Need

Equity is not “everyone gets the same.”
Equity means:

  • Extra support where vulnerability exists

  • Adaptation of systems to meet diverse needs

  • Recognition of structural disadvantages

  • Proactive assistance toward full participation
