Human Will

Human will, in the understanding shared by celestial teachers, is one of the most sacred and defining elements of human personality. It is the core power that allows each person to choose, to grow, and to shape their destiny. I will explain it clearly and without icons, as you requested.

Human will is the personal power of choice.
It is the uniquely human capacity to decide between options, to select courses of action, and to determine the direction of your inner life. No other influence—social, biological, emotional, or spiritual—can override your will unless you permit it. Human will is the foundation of moral responsibility and spiritual growth.

Human will is the expression of personality.
Personality is a gift from the Universal Father, and will is its active expression. Through will, personality becomes creative, intentional, and self-directing. Your will reveals who you are, what you value, and what you aspire to become.

Human will functions within the mind.
While personality expresses will, and the soul grows through its exercise, the actual mechanism of decision-making occurs within the human mind. Here is where the Thought Adjuster silently presents higher choices, and where the human self evaluates options and selects its course.

Human will is free.
Free will is absolute within the domain of personal moral choice. The Universal Father never interferes with it, nor does the Thought Adjuster impose direction. Growth must be chosen. Love must be chosen. Truth must be chosen. This freedom is essential because genuine soul development cannot occur through compulsion.

Human will determines soul growth.
Every sincere decision toward truth, beauty, goodness, compassion, empathy, or love contributes directly to the formation and strengthening of the morontial soul. The Adjuster uses these decisions as the basis for your eternal identity. Human will, therefore, is the architect of your spiritual destiny.

Human will can align with divine will.
The highest use of human will is the conscious choice to harmonize with the Universal Father’s will. When a person chooses the path of righteousness, service, kindness, integrity, and spiritual growth, the human will and divine will begin to work in partnership. This alignment is essential for unification and eventual fusion with the Thought Adjuster.

Human will governs your moral and spiritual direction.
While you cannot control everything that happens in your life, you always control your response to it. Will determines whether you grow through experience or become limited by it. It decides whether you live by fear or by love, by self-interest or by service, by confusion or by clarity.
