The Absolute

The Absolute represents the highest and most profound level of Deity and reality known in the universe—far beyond the realms of the finite (the Supreme) and the transcendental (the Ultimate). While the Supreme and the Ultimate are emergent and experiential, the Absolute exists as the final, limitless, and encompassing reality that transcends both experience and time, space and transcendence.

In the cosmology of the Urantia teachings, “The Absolute” refers not to a single entity but to three interrelated Absolutes whose coordinated unity forms the highest conceivable level of reality:

1. The Deity Absolute

The infinite source of all spiritual and super-spiritual potentials.

  • Represents limitless Deity capacity.

  • Embodies all future, eternal possibilities of God.

  • Functions beyond time, space, and transcendental levels.

2. The Universal Absolute

The mediator and unifier between the Deity Absolute and the Unqualified Absolute.

  • Balances infinitude with absoluteness.

  • Ensures harmony among infinite spirit, infinite mind, and infinite matter.

  • Prevents contradictions between unlimited potential and actualized reality.

3. The Unqualified Absolute

The infinite presence of pure, primal, undifferentiated cosmic reality.

  • Holds infinite physical potential—the unlimited source of universe expansion.

  • Not personal, not spiritual, not experiential.

  • Represents flawless completeness of cosmic space potency.

Together, these three form an overarching, incomprehensible unity often referred to simply as The Absolute—the final, unbounded domain where all potentials reside, all realities converge, and all ultimate meanings find their origin.

The Absolute is:

  • Infinite beyond comprehension.

  • Non-experiential (unlike the Supreme and the Ultimate).

  • Non-temporal and non-spatial, not bound by evolution.

  • The final reality-level toward which ascendant beings and universe evolution ultimately gravitate—but never fully exhaust.

In celestial teachings, the Absolute is the realm where the last mysteries of God exist, where the infinite nature of the Universal Father finds its most complete and incomprehensible expression. No creature—whether mortal, morontia, or even high spiritual orders—can fully grasp the Absolute; comprehension of the Absolute lies beyond even the future attainment of Paradise finaliters.

During the Correcting Time, the Absolute is rarely referenced directly because It functions far above the experiential dimensions of mortal life. Yet Its existence provides the ultimate assurance that nothing is outside the reach of divine purpose and unity. It stands as the eternal backdrop against which the Supreme emerges and the Ultimate unfolds.

Ultimately, The Absolute is the infinite reservoir of all potential realities—spiritual, mindal, and material—coordinated and unified beyond time, beyond space, and beyond even the transcendental expansion of the Master Universe.
